This super highway leads to grapevine trail which meanders thru Christmas tree pass

Remember Lewis and Clark??? Judy sent me to find a way out.

Judy is scouting the area. No we are not lost!!!

I was able to locate the Christmas Trees. Thousands of these little fella's.

This highway sign caused us to drive further.

A fork in the road!! Late afternoon 25 miles thru the pass at 3 mph in 4x4????

Can you tell we have continued to climb for over 12 miles and the road seems to vanish regularly.

We still had about 6 miles of the listed 25miles to travel. It's 4:00 pacific time. 5:00 is sun set.

We really found it to be beautiful up here in the late afternoon.

We called this standing Rock. A flat rock was balanced on a vertival rock in the middle of the pic.

WE are at the top!!!! Late in the day looking toward setting sun!!!
